Azaleas

The azaleas in my garden are flowering. The azaleas were put in by the builder and are Delaware valley white azaleas.

a little surprise

while cutting spent flowers from my rose bushes this morning i noticed this little guy resting on a dead branch. so of course i ran back inside to get my camera and when i returned he was still there. i think he was looking at me.

spent some time yesterday afternoon watching the butterflies and bees feasting on the mint.

light rain today, a good time to bake, banana and walnut cake.

much to my sons delight we picked two cucumbers and three cherry tomatoes from the vegetable garden this morning.

4 peonies- finally this year i had some success growing them

5 tulips- wonderful to draw, but have not grown them since the deer ate my one yellow tulip in the spring of 2008

more rain overnight. its good for the garden. back in the spring i had this vision of a wonderful red and yellow garden. taking a turn around the front garden this morning i did not notice much red, just yellow, yellow marigolds and yellow gladiolus

only two of the four fig trees have fruit this year. the tomatoes are slowly changing from green to red. i picked two strawberries and one eggplant today.
